Celebrating a long life of timeless designs

We are celebrating Vivianna Torun Bülow-Hübe (1927-2004) over the next week by offering 25% discount on selected pieces of her beautiful designs.

Torun as she was known, was a celebrated Swedish silversmith. She was the first female silversmith to become internationally famous, with clients such as Picasso, Brigitte Bardot, Ingrid Bergman, and Billie Holiday. Her work has been collected by major museums such as the Louvre in Paris, the Museum of Modern Art in New York and even here in Canada by The Musee des Arts Decoratifs in Montreal.

"A piece of jewelry should be a symbol of love. It should enhance and move with the body so that it blends with you," the artist said. "It must not overwhelm, but enhance you. This is why it must be timeless."

The artist went on to design some of her most famous jewellery for Georg Jensen.

This portrait was taken in Antibes, France, in 1962.
